How we make money
The short version: some product links are affiliate links, so they earn us a commission if you buy — and that commission never buys a better score or a higher rank. Here's the long version, in plain English.
Affiliate links
GolfSims doesn't sell anything. Some of our “Check price” buttons are affiliate links to the retailers that stock the products we cover. If you click one and go on to buy, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Those links carry a rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute.
That commission is the only way the site makes money. There are no paid listings, no sponsored placements and no fees for a brand to appear — every product is here because it's worth comparing, not because anyone paid to be included.
It never changes a score or a rank
The affiliate relationship buys nothing editorial. It never moves a product's score, never nudges a factor, and never changes where it ranks. Those come from the methodology and nothing else. Plenty of products we rate highly earn us little or nothing, and the order reflects the rating either way. The day that line blurs, the guide is worthless — so we keep it bright.
Editorial independence
GolfSims is part of Venture Harbour Ltd. We hold no stake in the brands we cover, take no sponsorship, and accept no payment to change a score or a ranking. Every score is set by one person, Marcus Taylor, against the same four factors. If you ever think a verdict reads like an advert, tell us— that's a bug, and we'll fix it.
